Creativethink – Roger von Oech

In my drawer, or next to my computer there’s always a stack of cards. They’re in a yellow and white box and are labeled “Creative whack pack”. They are full of ways to twist my brain, to make me go other directions, and change the way I think.

Creativethink is the website of Roger von Oech, who made the excellent cards.

It’s a very basic website, but with lots of things you can use. When you enter the site at www.creativethink.com, you are presented with a “whack”, a whack in your head to make you think differently. Just refresh the page and you get more whacks.

But – let me warn you – don’t refresh. Why?

Computerize skiing

Watching the Nordic skiing world championship on television now. As you might know, all skiers have small ID chips around their legs, to measure their time and position several times around the slope. But only every 3 or 4 kilometers or so. When the technology gets cheaper, FIS really should consider adding lots more places where times are measured.
